Activities

Caving
As Bonaire consists mainly out of limestone (fissile coral reefs), there are many caves on the island.
On this trip you will visit two different caves. The "dry" one has many stalactites, stalagmites and even the special helectites. Those caves are of the uttermost importance for Bonaire's ecosystem.

The second cave is a "wet" cave and here you will snorkel in crystal clear water and maybe meet the cave shrimp or the rare cave-fish. Our caves are natural without artificial lighting, handrails or footpaths.

- Price Caving US$ 40,-

All prices are per person. Minimum group size is 2 persons. 8% ABB tax should be added to all prices. Don’t forget to wear proper footwear, bring water, snorkel set included in the price. Do not wear sunscreen or insect repellent

All activities are at own risk

Mangrove kayak
What would the coral reefs on Bonaire look like without our mangrove system? Very empty!

Because the mangroves are the nursery room for many of the fish normally seen on the reef. This is where you may see juvenile barracudas, parrotfish, tarpons and trunkfish (just to name a few).

Experience the lush green and serene tranquility of this very special ecosystem from a kayak and watch with delight as nature is moving by. In the night this is also an experience you'll never forget. At night this is where you truly can experience and enjoy the sound of silence.

- Price Mangrove kayak US$ 50,-
- Price Night Mangrove kayak (only Friday’s) US$ 50,-

Explore the Nature Park
This park is situated in the hilly north side of the island and is of pristine beauty and rough nature. An awesome landscape can be found here. The highest hill is called Brandaris (241 m / 791 ft) and it may be hiked to or climbed on. In the park you also can go bird watching and have a great chance to see the endemic Bonairean Parrot (Amazona barbadensis) and the cara cara (kind of vulture). Washington Slagbaai National Park is an excellent opportunity to combine sports, recreational and educational activities.

Explore Bonaire by foot
Bonaire has a lot of dirt roads and goat trails which are excellent for hiking. Hiking in the national park is a great experience because you will not meet many people... if at all! And because we are off the beaten track we will see plenty of wildlife. Expect to share space with wild donkeys, goats, iguanas and tropical birds. Some hiking trails are for the inexperienced and others are for those who like to suffer a little more. Yes it is hot... so?

- Price Hiking tour per hour US$ 40,-

Explore Bonaire by climbing it
We don't have high mountains on Bonaire, but we do have some great limestone walls, perfect for top rope climbing. The scenery is awesome and the routes are very distinctive from another. Top rope climbing is a style in climbing in which a rope, used for the climber's safety, runs from a belayer at the foot of a route through one or more karabiners connected to an anchor system at the top of the route and back down to the climber, usually attaching to the climber by means of a harness.

For the beginner or for the more experienced climber, this is a great place to be and to lose some sweat! Before we can go climbing you will need to rappel/abseil down a 60 feet cliff. Go for it!

- Price Climbing US$ 40,-

All prices are per person. Minimum group size is 2 persons. 8% ABB tax should be added to all prices. Don’t forget to wear proper footwear, also bring water.

All activities are at own risk.
