Besides the traditional Dive & Explore package, Caribbean Club Bonaire now offers a new package for all its non-diving guests: the Explore package. We combined the already known ingredients with new ingredients.

The new ingredients are:
- A snorkel set for a week
- Mountain bike rental for one day, to explore the nature around the resort.
- Boat snorkel, you will go on a boat to one of the amazing sites Bonaire has to offer.
- Cave exploration, with a guide you explore a dry cave and a wet cave. The wet cave you will explore by snorkeling threw it.
- Mangrove kayak, with a guide you will kayak and snorkel threw the mangroves. The nursery of the sea.
- National park tour. A guide will take you in to the park with a 4WD truck and will show you the nature and the beauty of the park.
- Discover Scuba Dive (DSD), ½ day introduction to scuba diving.

The Explore package includes: accommodation for 7 nights, a RENTAL VEHICLE (double cabin pick-up truck) for 7 days, daily breakfast, free “Manager's Rum Punch Party”, airport transfer and all government taxes.

These components are the same as for the Dive & Explore package but instead of 6 days of unlimited shore diving and free nitrox Caribbean Club’s guests can now choose between three Explore packages.

The package price is the same as Dive & Explore package. There is a surcharge for package 2 and 3 (the surcharge is including tax). Extending the package with additional nights will not add extra activities. The extra night will include the accommodation, breakfast and car rental. The reservations department can give you quotes when you want to add on an extra activity.

We are very proud to announce that we have finished the renovation of the interiors of the 1 bedroom standard cottages & 2 bedroom standard cottages. A lot of our repeater guests and new guest have given us good positive feedback on the “new” rooms. Some of the feedback:

“They look clean and modern, with all the convenience needed”

In addition to the new inside we have upgraded all kitchen utensils. Whole new sets of pans, cutlery and china.

The next step for the original cottages, is the make over of the exterior. This low season we are going to paint the whole original part and by doing that, make it look fresh and sharp. At the same time we are renovating the garden and pathways.

Still a lot to do, but every day we are improving the Caribbean Club product so that our guest can enjoy Bonaire with the best value for money.
  
 

Green is the way to go. It is better for the environment and it can save a lot of money. As many of you know, the electricity on Bonaire is expensive and our environment is our unique selling point. So we have to be careful with both aspects.

That is why we are always looking into “new” solutions. And now we are very happy to announce that all of our rooms have solar water heaters. No more high electricity using boilers. Just the mixture of Bonairean water, Bonairian sun and a little bit of hardware.

Dear Guests,

We have received notification from Bonaire International Airport NV (BIA) that as of February 13th, 2011 the following work will be scheduled at Flamingo Airport:

• Complete Runway Renovation
• New Runway Turning Bays
• Runway Markings, Lightings & Signs
• Approach Lights
• Electrical Systems and Tower Interface
• Complete New Airport Fence on expanded airport terrain
• New Rescue & Fire Fighting Station Access Road

To be able to realize this it is necessary to close Flamingo airport for 10 consecutive hours starting from February 13 till July 2011 and have been scheduled in the evening hours.
Please find attached the scheduled working hours.

Looking at the schedule it seems that none of the direct flights to and from Bonaire to and from the United States (Delta airlines, Continental Airlines and Insel Air) or Europe (KLM and Arke) are affected by the scheduled working hours. The flights that are affected are the inter island flights between Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba (DAE, Insel Air and Tiara Air) that are scheduled to arrive in the evening hours. We expect the airlines to reschedule or cancel these flights.
